Simpson Hilder were appointed by specialist retail consultants, Assured Property Group, to assist with a review of Punch Tavern’s public house property portfolio. We eventually prepared feasibility proposals on around 50 properties in the South and Midlands, enabling the client to undertake the necessary appraisals and negotiations, before securing planning permission for new developments for Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Cafe Nero and other reatail operators.
We provided architectural services and secured planning permission for the change of use of a former car sales and petrol filling site in the heart of Rustington’s retail area, to provide a new café bar and restaurant outlet for Loungers plc. Working closely with the Landlord, the property has been transformed to provide a destination venue and focal point for the town centre.
