Simpson Hilder was appointed by Clark Estates for the refurbishment of Link House in Poole. This high-profile five-storey property, which was constructed in the early 1980’s, was comprehensively remodelled at a cost of approximately £4.2m to provide a prestigious premises which achieved prime rentals for the area.
Acting on behalf of UBS Bank, we provided architectural services for the provision of new offices for the Highways Agency in Bedford. This challenging refurbishment project successfully brought back into use an 11,000sq/m premises with unusually deep floorplates, by creating a new three-storey atrium through the building. The project was designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of excellent and used the atrium as an integral part of the mechanical ventilation system.
We have been involved in new office schemes including The Grange in Romsey, providing 2,600sq/m designed to complement its rural setting, and Stirley House in Lymington, a contemporary three-storey development with undercroft parking to facilitate flood zone requirements, providing 1,730sq/m of high quality accommodation.
