We were appointed to provide full architectural services for the construction of a new depot facility on the Barfield Industrial Estate on behalf of Winchester City Council. We worked closely with all stakeholders involved with this project to provide an extremely efficient design solution on what was a relatively tight infill site with several constraints, including sensitive neighbouring properties and a footpath diversion. The scheme provided workshops and storage and administration facilities for the operator of the Council’s new fleet of refuse vehicles, as well as grounds maintenance and landscape facilities. The project achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good.
Working alongside an existing client, we identified the potential for a speculative industrial development on their site in Warwick. From preparing feasibility proposals we eventually obtained planning approval for 3,400sq/m of new industrial units and nine new residential properties.
At Kenwood Business Park in Havant, we undertook master planning and feasibility appraisals in connection with the client’s downsizing requirements, providing 7,800sq/m of refurbished office and production floor space, and subdividing the remaining 14,500sq/m of industrial floorspace to provide eight separate units.
Acting for Store Property Investments Limited, we were involved in altering and refurbishing a vacant distribution premises on the Chandlers Ford Industrial Estate. Works involved the replacement of an existing office block with a new 1,000sq/m industrial unit, together with the complete renovation of a 3,800sq/m warehouse building.
We have also provided architectural services to Nationwide Engineering for the construction of a new 1,450sq/m office and production facility for vintage steering-wheel company Moto Lita at Weyhill in Hampshire.
