CLIENT: New Forest Ice Cream
In September 2010 SHA gained planning approval for all three of the three remaining development plots at Ampress Park to the north of Lymington. The consent included approval for New Forest Ice Cream’s new production and headquarters facility, enabling their relocation from a site in central Lymington which they had occupied since the business started over 20 years ago.
We provided architectural services and obtained building regulation consent, together with undertaking the CDM Coordinator duties. In addition, our surveying team acted as party wall surveyors, which involved negotiations with 10 neighbouring properties.
The works, which were split across two phases, were completed on time and within budget. The building provides 2,950 sq m of floor space, including a massive 5,500 m³ freezer which will store products at temperatures of -25°C.
